The mobility will pick you up early in the morning from 5:00 am to 5:30 am from your hotel in the direction of the Mollepata district (2,976 m) located about 90 km from the city of Cusco.
After a short but refreshing rest, we will walk towards Marcocasa where we will find the rest of the team that will make our trek through the Salkantay towards Machu Picchu a reality.
The walk to the first camp starts around 9:30 am in the direction of Soraypampa, located at 3900 meters above sea level, about 4 hours walking at a regular pace. In Soraypampa we will have our first lunch and time to relax and admire the beauty of the place. Optionally, we can visit Lake Umantay, natural wonder from where we can appreciate the glaciers of the same name.
Finally, after a fun day of exploring, adapting and recognizing the route, we will meet for the first dinner and discuss our first day.

Nothing compares to the Andean sunrise, breathe fresh air, and have a delicious breakfast in the middle of the imposing mountains. Soon we will be ready again to start a day full of exciting surprises and enjoy beautiful views of the Cusco Apu Tutelar, the great Salkantay.
It is the second day of our trek and will be the most complicated stretch for its steep paths, its somber and hostile landscape.
After walking for about 6 km, we will reach the highest point of the route, the Salkantay pass at 4650 meters above sea level, from where we can appreciate the imposing snowy peaks of the Andes. Once in the tenor of an incredible natural environment, we begin our descent for 2 hours or more to reach the town of Huayracmachay where we will have lunch.
Finally we will continue our walk towards Chaullay at 2920 msnm where our second camp awaits us. Before going to sleep, we will meet to enjoy our delicious dinner and talk a little about the route.

After a great day of ups and downs and having rested pleasantly we will get up very early to have our delicious breakfast.
We will leave early in the morning from our camp in Chaullay to continue with a walk of approximately 6 hours until La Playa (Sahuayaco) and Santa Teresa (Cocalmayo) place of our next camp.
During the walk you will be able to appreciate a lot of exotic flowers like orchids, banana plantations, papaya and Maracuya, to enjoy the singing and the colorful beauty of birds of all sizes, including the famous rooster of the rocks (this small bird is quite timid so your sighting is quite complicated) as well as delighting our view with beautiful waterfalls.
Undoubtedly a very gratifying and pleasant day for the warm weather, the beautiful views, the well preserved flora and fauna of the place, and for the moment of recreation and relaxation in the hot springs of Cocalmayo. Finally we will have dinner and we will rest.

After breakfast we will set out to continue our walk to the train station called hydroelectric where we will have our last lunch with all the equipment. After meeting with all the people who made this great walk through the snowy Salkantay we will head to Aguas Calientes where we will spend the night in a cozy lodging.
During the trek we will see lots of fruit trees, exotic plants, rivers, bridges and an oroya, we will also pass by some Inca archaeological sites and we will have a spectacular view of the back of the sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Much of the walk will be done along the Vilcanota river bank until we reach the town of Aguas Calientes. Once in Aguas Calientes we can relax visiting the thermal baths of Aguas Calientes (the entrance is bought in the same town) and visit museums and town squares. Finally, in the evening you can relax a bit by visiting a nightclub or a pub.

We will get up early in the morning to begin our ascent to the archaeological site of Machu Picchu which we can do walking or taking the buses that go from the city of Machu Picchu to the archaeological site of Machu Picchu. Once we have entered Machu Picchu we will have a guided tour for approximately 2 hours, then we will have time to explore the archaeological center on our own and take souvenir photos.
Finally, we must all be at the train station of Machu Picchu Pueblo at 18:00 with all our belongings to board the train that will take us back to Ollantaytambo where our private transport will be waiting for us to make the return trip to Cusco.
